Advance Ashburton Scholarships

​                                                                                                       New Scholarship​​
EA Networks Scholarship - For students in their second or subsequent years of study in electrical engineering, information technology, systems management, human resources, accounting, communications, or safety management.
Longfield Scholarship - For any type of tertiary study, for students in their second or subsequent years of study.       
Ashburton Vintage Car Club Scholarship - For those undertaking any type of automotive apprenticeship, in the second or subsequent years of apprenticeship.        
Some of our donors have chosen to make provision for scholarships through the  Foundation. 
Note that some scholarships may not  be offered every year
Scholarships currently available for tertiary studies are: 
  • Advance Ashburton Community Foundation Scholarship: for any tertiary study.
  • Ashburton UFS Health Science Scholarship: for tertiary study in Health Science disciplines
  • Alister Smyth Scholarship: for any tertiary study, particularly for those financially or otherwise disadvantaged.
  • Johnston Brothers Health Science Scholarship: for tertiary study in any area connected with health.
  • Tinwald Club Scholarship: for applicants who live, or their parent(s) live, in the Tinwald area.
  • Parsons Family Scholarship: for tertiary study in agriculture, horticulture or aquaculture.
  • Ian Glassey Memorial Scholarship: for environmental studies.
  • Glass Family Scholarship: for newcomers and young people who are unlikely to receive financial assistance to undertake tertiary study, particularly in agriculture.
  • Cameron Family Scholarship: for tertiary study in agriculture, horticulture or medicine.
  • Ashburton Hearing Association Scholarship:  for study associated with hearing impairment.
  • Graham Gunn Music Scholarship: for students studying music.
  • Kate Syme Scholarship: for a current or former student of Ashburton College to pursue tertiary study with a considered focus on Māori and Pasifika youth.  
  • Colin & Alison Crampton Music and Arts Scholarship: for students studying music and arts.
  • Dennis & Barbara Taylor Nursing Scholarship: For students studying nursing. 
  • Frank Crampton Agricultural Scholarship: for tertiary study in agriculture.
  • Kate Syme Scholarship: for a current or former student of Ashburton College to pursue tertiary study with a considered focus on Māori and Pasifika youth.  ​
    Open dates for 2027 applications: OPENS 01 October 2026 CLOSES 31st OCTOBER 2026.
