Community Grants

Community grant applications are open all year and will be reviewed at our Grants Committee meetings throughout the year.   Each calendar year there are up to three Granting Rounds.  

We have a number of different funds available for funding applications.  Please read our Guidance for Grant Applicants prior to submitting your application.

Closing Dates for Community Grant Applications

Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure the completed application form is received on or before the set closing date.  Any application received after this date will be reviewed at the following grants round.

Ashburton District Volunteer Fire Fighters Welfare Fund - Funds are available to support volunteers rural firefighters in time of need. 
Ashburton Palliative Care Fund - Funds are available to support terminally ill persons and palliative care initiatives within the Ashburton District
Grant Accountability Report Form - Grant recipients can download a Grant Accountability Report Form here.  The date that your accountability report is due will be stated on your grant approval letter.
Guidance for acknowledging Advance Ashburton Community Foundation
If you have received a grant from Advance Ashburton Community Foundation, we would appreciate if you could acknowledge our support by doing the following:

1.   Please put our logo on any promotional material (this can be downloaded from here).
2.   Mention us as a proud supporter with any media communication – social media, newspapers and any other form of media you use.  Please use our full name - Advance Ashburton Community Foundation.
3.   Tell people about the Foundation, who we are and what we do. If you would like, we would be happy to attend a meeting to talk about the Foundation.
4.   Please show our donation as a separate item in your financial statements.
